Free Tutorial - Crossing Points Quilt Blocks
Start with 4 squares - I cut these to 5 inches. You need a bit of contrast for these blocks
Sew the four together into two pairs, press the seams to alternate sides, then sew the two pairs into a square and press the seam to one side
Use a smallish mat, as you will want to turn it round as you cut.. Lay your ruler on the block, matching the 1-inch line to the seam in the centre, and cut. Turn the mat 1/4 of the way round and cut again, repeat till you have cut the block 4 times, into 9 pieces
Like so...
Take the four pieces in the middle of the sides and rotate them one place around like so...
