In 2016 I was asked to make a quilt with a series of Improv blocks to make a sampler for The Quilter magazine. This pattern is an expansion on those ideas, and was prepared to accompany the 2019 Quiltfest Exhibit of the resulting delicious and most-varied quilts
This one used an Oakshott Fabrics Aruba pack of fat eighths, plus about 2 metres of white - sadly no longer available, but don't let that stop you from making your own delicious choices
I have also made these in many other fabrics..

It's very easy to make. Beginner-level machine sewing with an advanced result...
The pattern also has images of a few of the somewhat wildly different quilts made with the same ideas

Finished size approx 48 inches square, but you can make any size and shape you like from these instructions...
